about

Colleen Jamieson was born in the Greater Chicago area where she lived for many years before moving to New Hampshire in her young adult years. She worked for several years as a florist in New Hampshire and Boston at Winston Flowers, before beginning her studies and a career as an esthetician and makeup artist. Colleen then added hairstyling to her resume, studying and traveling up and down the East Coast, and then to San Francisco, West Hollywood, and San Diego working with top educators for Prive, Vidal Sassoon, and Goldwell, which introduced her to the world of photography.

She’s placed in the top three in several hair competitions, as well as being published in New Hampshire Magazine, Process Magazine, and Inspire Hair Collection Books. She’s been named the best hairstylist in the New Hampshire area for three years in a row since 2006 by Hippo Newspaper. After years of working with photographers and being part of the creative process with photo shoots during weddings, editorial photo shoots, and taking amateur photos Colleen found her true calling in photography.

She attended The New England School of Photography in Boston where she majored in Architecture, Fashion, and Weddings. Lifestyle and Architectural photography are two passions in Colleen’s life. She broadened her horizons by traveling to Italy, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, and various parts around the United States, capturing life and the beauty of architecture, whether being an eclectic restaurant, a sleek mill space, or an ancient building that has been there for centuries.

Colleen has a fresh approach to weddings, portraits, and fine art, along with an eye for design and detail. Her professional approach and twelve years as an accomplished makeup artist and hairstylist, in the wedding and fashion industries, makes her a perfect fit for your next event.

Please feel free to contact her via e-mail or phone for a consultation.

Colleen lives in the Southern New Hampshire area, between Nashua and Manchester, dividing her time between her yellow lab Finnegan, her work as a hairstylist in Nashua, and a photographer in the New England area.
